Pallet Truck Supplier urges companies to invest in eCommerce as spending continues to rise

Midland Pallet Trucks, one of the UK’s most prolific suppliers of hand pallet trucks, forklift accessories and a whole host of other key warehouse equipment, has encouraged businesses to spend their money wisely as eCommerce continues to dominate the retail landscape. The news, announced by Visa, states that last month (February 2017) online spending grew by 3.2 percent. Highlighting a 0.4 percent increase on the previous month, it underlines the need for businesses to put a focus on digital retail to ensure they stand the best chance of getting a large piece of the consumer pie, according to Midland Pallet Trucks’ director. “The beginning of the year is a notoriously difficult period for businesses,” said Phil Chesworth, Managing Director at Midland Pallet Trucks. “But this positive increase in online spending will be a welcome relief for organisations who sell their products online, helping to bump up profits before the financial year-end. However it also highlights how far businesses who don’t utilise technology and sell online are lagging behind – and how much revenue they could be losing out on.”

The good news however was swiftly followed with some rather downbeat statistics. The payment technology giant followed on by reporting that face-to-face spending fell by 3 percent during the same period.

The team at Midland Pallet Trucks knows first-hand the huge effect eCommerce can have on businesses that really embrace the technology. The company is entirely based online, with all products being shipped from their 60,000 sq. ft. warehouse in the west midlands.

Growing to be one of the go-to suppliers of robust warehouse equipment to enable businesses to streamline their backend processes, the company has provided an array of sectors with pallet trucks, lift tables and drum loaders, but to name a few.
