Midland Pallet Trucks Announce Christmas Delivery Schedules and Opening Hours

The pallet truck experts at Midland Pallet Trucks have announced their Christmas and New Year delivery deadlines and opening hours, to ensure that all customers know exactly when they need to have placed their festive orders by. For the firm’s flagship pallet trucks, orders placed before 12pm on Monday 21st December should be delivered on Tuesday 22nd December or Wednesday 23rd December at the latest. Any orders placed before 12pm on Tuesday 22nd December should be delivered on Wednesday 23rd December – but if not, customers will next be able to receive the delivery on Tuesday 29th December, once the festivities have died down. Any standard pallet truck orders placed before 12pm on Wednesday 23rd December will be delivered after Christmas, either a week later on the 29th December, or on the following day – Thursday 30th December. Phil Chesworth, Managing Director of Midland Pallet Trucks, says, “We’ve released our Christmas delivery schedule nice and early to ensure that our customers know exactly what’s going on with their orders at this traditionally busy time. In the run-up to Christmas, and in the post-Christmas sales, many businesses find themselves positively snowed under, and emergencies with malfunctioning equipment can really set them back – which is why we’re trying to ensure that we get all orders to customers as quickly as possible, even over Christmas.”

Other palletised items from Midland Pallet Trucks are shipped on a 2-3 day working day service – however it’s worth business owners bearing in mind that the pallet forwarders Midland work with will only be working up to Wednesday 23rd December. They’ll pick up their deliveries where they left off on Tuesday 29th December.

Phil adds, “Businesses are also reminded that there will need to be someone at the premises to receive the pallet truck whenever they are delivered – which means if you’ve given staff a festive holiday that lasts until the New Year, you might need to come into work yourself in order to accept the delivery! Our carriers will charge for missed deliveries, so it’s in the business’ best interests to ensure there’s someone there to accept the order.”

Midland Pallet Trucks itself will be closed on Thursday 24th December, and will reopen once more on the first Monday of the New Year – 4th January 2016.
